01 · Who we are
This website is operated by CME Entertainment, trading as CME Create ("we", "us"). We are the controller of personal data processed through cme-create.com. For anything relating to privacy, write to studio@cme-create.com. Full company details are in our legal notice.
02 · What we collect
Applications. When you apply to work with us we collect your name, email address, country, time zone and your answers about the project. We also record a shortened version of your IP address and your browser type, to protect the form against abuse.
Visit statistics. When you view a page we record the page, the referring website, your approximate country, your browser type and a shortened IP address. The last part of every IP address is removed before it is stored, so it cannot identify you or your device. We do not use cookies, fingerprinting or advertising trackers for this, and we do not build profiles.
Email. If you write to us directly, we keep the correspondence.
03 · Why, and on what legal basis
- Reviewing and answering your application: steps prior to entering a contract at your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Anonymised visit statistics and protecting the site from abuse: our legitimate interest in running a secure, well-understood website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Keeping records we are legally required to keep: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and never make automated decisions about you.
04 · Cookies and storage
Public visitors receive no cookies and nothing is stored in your browser. The only browser storage on this site is a sign-in session used by studio staff in the private studio area. Because nothing non-essential is stored on your device, no cookie banner is required.
05 · Who processes it
We use a small number of trusted providers acting on our instructions under data processing agreements:
- Website hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare), which necessarily sees your full IP address to deliver the page.
- Database and authentication hosting, where applications and statistics are stored.
- Google Fonts, which delivers the typeface and receives your IP address when the page loads.
- Our email provider, for correspondence.
Some of these providers are based in, or may access data from, the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
06 · How long we keep it
- Applications that do not lead to a project: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Applications that lead to a project: for the life of the engagement and any statutory retention period afterwards.
- Visit statistics: up to 14 months.
You can ask us to delete your application at any time.
07 · Your rights in the EU and UK
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction, deletion or restriction of your data, receive it in a portable format, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to studio@cme-create.com; we answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example in the country where you live.
08 · Your rights in California
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), California residents may request to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, request its deletion or correction, and are protected from discrimination for exercising these rights.
In the past 12 months we collected identifiers (name, email, shortened IP), general location (country, time zone), internet activity (pages viewed) and the professional information you include in an application, for the purposes in section 03. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information. Requests can be sent to studio@cme-create.com; we will verify your request using the email address you applied with. You may use an authorised agent.
09 · Security and minors
Data is encrypted in transit, stored with access restricted to studio staff, and the private studio area requires a password. This site is not directed at anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10 · Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting applicants will be communicated by email.
